Ciprofloxacina y multivitamínico con minerales no debe ser tomado por vía oral al mismo tiempo. Los productos que contienen magnesio, aluminio, calcio, hierro, y/o de otros minerales pueden interferir con la absorción de la ciprofloxacina en el torrente sanguíneo y reducir su efectividad. Si es posible, es mejor evitar tomar multivitamínico con minerales, mientras que su están siendo tratados con ciprofloxacina. AJUSTAR el INTERVALO de DOSIFICACIÓN: Oral preparaciones que contienen magnesio, aluminio o calcio puede disminuir significativamente la absorción gastrointestinal de estos antibióticos de quinolona. La absorción también puede ser reducido por el sucralfato, que contiene aluminio, así como otros cationes polivalentes, tales como el hierro y el zinc. El mecanismo es la quelación de las quinolonas de cationes polivalentes, formando un complejo que se absorbe poco en el tracto gastrointestinal. La biodisponibilidad de ciprofloxacino se ha reportado disminución en un 90% cuando se administra con antiácidos que contienen aluminio o hidróxido de magnesio.

ADMINISTRACIÓN: Cuando la administración no se puede evitar, quinolonas los antibióticos deben administrarse ya sea de 2 a 4 horas antes o 4 a 6 horas después de cationes polivalentes que contienen los productos para minimizar el potencial de interacción.
